Mature drivers are often the safest drivers in that they are more likely to wear their seat belts, and less likely to speed or drive with distractions. But you can always improve your safety and comfort--and reduce your risk of injury during a crash--by making the proper adjustments to ensure your car "fits" you properly. CarFit is a free educational program created by the American Society on Aging and developed in collaboration with AAA, AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association that addresses these safety concerns and provides information and materials on community specific resources that can increase your mobility.
This program will be held outside in the side parking lot of the Library.
Each appointment lasts 20 minutes and will occur in one 20 minute window between 9am and 12pm.
You will enter from the Godfrey Place entrance at the time of your appointment. Please click the link below to register for an available time slot. If all slots are taken, the program is full. Please call Andrea Sato if you would like to be on the waitlist (203-762-6326).
