Curious about developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI)? Wondering about its impact on jobs, education, media, culture, and everyday life? Please join us for a brief information session about a new community discussion series we're launching this spring all about AI.
The AI field is evolving rapidly and the emerging technologies will have profound impacts on most aspects of our lives. It seems like there are major news stories making the headlines weekly.
Modeled on our Senior Center book discussions and our Great Decisions foreign policy discussion series, this series will explore some of the big questions through guided conversations and participatory discussions – not lectures. Indeed, the topics for this discussion series will be patron-driven as we invite our participants to select particular articles, papers, videos, etc. to be the focus of our discussions each session.
At this info session, you’ll:
- Learn how the series will work
- Help shape the discussion topics
- Suggest readings and formats
- Let us know what you want to discuss about AI
Then, following this info session, we'll begin to schedule the discussion sessions starting about a month later.
