Program Description

Event Details

Please join us for an engaging and open discussion about Blockchain Technology.  What is Blockchain and how is it being used?  How can it help us?  Is Blockchain all about Cryptocurrency?  What is a Smart Contract?  What did Wal-Mart do with this?  A base level discussion on these types of topics will take place to help better understand this emerging technology.  It is encouraged that you come with some questions!

Gabe Carr-Harris will moderate the discussion in a non-formal, open forum type setting.  He has been studying Blockchain for around five years now and has been intrigued by the technology that is permissionless, fast, transparent, secure and cheap.  Gabe is currently building in web3, or the third generation of the internet where these technologies are currently being leveraged.  He contributes heavily to the Cardano Blockchain with education, safety, onboarding and more.  He works in governance and DeFi.  Gabe’s passion for Blockchain over the last few years has turned into part time work. In his full-time job he is a PGA Professional and has been in the golf business for 25+ years.  He lives in Wilton with his wife and two boys.
