Please join us for a practical guide for anyone planning for end of life.  In 2015, following a long career in finance, Doug Renfield-Miller spent a year as an Advanced Leadership Fellow at Harvard. The outcome of his fellowship year was GoodEnding, a nonprofit seeking to improve end of life outcomes and reduce societal costs. As an extension of his GoodEnding work, Doug will discuss Writing Your Own Ending. With co-author Sonya Dolan, Doug has created what noted hospice and palliative care physician B.J. Miller describes as “…a workbook for everyone, loaded with practical tips and stepwise guidance to help you prepare for the end.”

Doug’s presentation will focus on four topics:

  • Contemplating and preparing for your eventual demise
  • Considering and shaping how you will be remembered and celebrated
  • Making things easier for survivors
  • Leaving with no regrets

You don’t need to buy the book to attend. We do encourage you to at least look at what a powerful resource it is. The publisher, Levenger, describes its Master Class series with the tagline: “Ink helps us think.” Once you see the book, you’ll understand how its framework inspires you to slow down, put pen to paper, and turn scattered ideas into clear, deliberate thinking. The book is available for purchase exclusively through Levenger.  Please note that Doug’s royalties from the sales of the book are being donated to Regional Hospice, a nonprofit hospice in Danbury, where he volunteers.

Registration required.  Walk-ins welcome as space allows.
