Please join Michael Alimo in the Brubeck Room for another informative talk on financial planning.  Retirement is about more than just stopping work. It is the moment you shift into a new phase of life, one where your time is truly your own and the way you use it becomes even more important. The decisions you make now will shape your lifestyle, protect your legacy, and influence your financial well-being for decades to come. For many, this stage brings freedom and opportunity, but it can also bring complexity. From managing taxes and healthcare costs to aligning your income with your goals, each choice has long-term effects. This talk introduces key concepts to help you look at retirement from every angle, understand the factors that matter most, and feel more confident about the path ahead.  It is all inclusive of taxes in retirement, social security, and estate legacy financial planning.

Michael and his team have created a circle of advisors to serve all manner of retirement needs. In addition to planning for retirement income and insurance needs, he partners with CPAs and estate planning attorneys to provide a full overview of everything needed in a retirement plan. Michael’s approach is built on experience. He has been in the financial industry since 1984, and he founded his firm in 2000. Michael studied finance and accounting at the New York Institute of Technology, and he has passed the Series 7 and 65 securities exams.

Michael Alimo is a dedicated family man. He has two children: his son Michael Jr. — who works alongside his father at USA Financial & Tax Services — and a daughter who lives on the West Coast. When he’s not serving the financial needs of communities across Connecticut, Michael Sr. is spending time with his grandchildren.
