Please join us on Zoom for a presentation from ONS, Wilton. As warmer weather approaches and racquet sports enthusiasts head back outdoors, an increase in sports-related injuries can occur. Jordan Pasternack, MD, foot and ankle surgeon at Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists (ONS), will review common foot and ankle injuries seen during this seasonal transition. Amanda Kaslowitz, DPT, will share practical strategies for injury prevention, along with recovery solutions to help get you back on the court safely and confidently.
Jordan Pasternack, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon who specializes in all aspects of non-surgical and surgical care of foot and ankle injuries and conditions. He treats all conditions of the foot and ankle including but not limited to ankle and foot arthritis, Achilles ruptures, tendonitis, fractures, bunions, hammertoe, ankle sprains, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, flatfoot, Morton’s Neuroma, and other foot or toe deformities. Dr. Pasternack earned his Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude from The College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ. He then obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ, where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. Dr. Pasternack completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, followed by a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the esteemed MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He has had articles published in many peer-reviewed scientific journals, including The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Foot and Ankle Orthopaedics. Dr. Pasternack has presented his research at regional, national, and international conferences, and his work has been acknowledged with multiple awards and grants. He also holds a patent related to his basic science research. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS).
Amanda Kaslowitz has been in practice for 11 years, specializing in general orthopedics. She is a certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She is also trained in Graston Technique, Functional Range Conditioning and Dry Needling. She is board certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
