Please join us in the Rimer room for Plant Powered Metro New York's presentation on Plant-Based Nutrition.  Food can be a tool for disease prevention and reversal — but how? Join Plant Powered Metro New York for an engaging introduction to whole-food, plant-based nutrition and how it can offer tremendous benefits to our health and add years to our life.  Maddie Sobel, a certified Food for Life instructor, will explore the evidence behind the role of plant-based diets in disease prevention and healthy aging. Take home delicious, health-promoting recipes to try at home.

Maddie Sobel is a food and nutrition educator and wellness coach. Her specialties include cancer prevention and survival, weight loss, corporate wellness, and diabetes management through plant based diets. Maddie’s work includes supporting schools, corporations, and other institutional food services in redesigning their food offerings to be inclusive of health-promoting options and dietary restrictions. Maddie volunteers with projects in Connecticut with Plant Powered Metro New York.
