Please join Drs. Price and Shutran of Stamford Hospital for a review and update on the medical and surgical management of strokes. They will share important information about how to prevent a stroke, what symptoms to watch for, what to do if you experience symptoms and what treatment and recovery looks like.
Dr. Donald Price is a fellowship-trained, board-certified neurologist with an interest in general and diagnostic neurology. He has been in practice for 33 years and was previously in practice at East Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. He is the Director of Neurology at Stamford Health. Dr. Price has extensive experience in stroke, general neurology, dizziness, and neuropathology. He has trained and practiced as an inpatient and outpatient neurologist.
Dr. Max Shutran is a neurosurgeon who specializes in the care of patients with vascular problems in the brain and spine using both endovascular (minimally invasive) and open surgical techniques. He also has an interest in other neurosurgical conditions including brain and spine tumors, Chiari malformations, hydrocephalus, trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, and degenerative spine conditions. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Tufts Medical Center. He subsequently completed a fellowship in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he also served as an attending physician and Instructor in Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
