Program Description

Event Details

Most wine tastings feature wines that someone wants to sell to those who are tasting, and this is not one of those. Please join us in the Brubeck Room when Michael Crystal, a certified wine educator, will walk, talk, and have us sip through a tasting of wines that you’ll be bringing!  The event will be limited to 24 people, for whom the price of entry is one bottle (priced no more than $25) of your favorite wine, whatever it may be. Everyone will have an opportunity to present their wine of choice and tell us where it’s from, the grape(s) that it’s made from, and why you chose it for the evening’s event.

In each of the tasting rounds, everyone will have a chance to sample every wine, after which Michael will facilitate a discussion of your reactions to the wines you’ve tasted. And in between each round, he will be providing us with information, delivered without pretense or unnecessary (and sometimes incomprehensible) “wine speak” regarding how to properly taste wine, choose wine in a shop or at a restaurant, speak about wine, and most importantly how to best enjoy it.

In addition to his vocation, that of a coach of business executives the world over, and a facilitator of change in organizations of all shapes and sizes, Michael Crystal has been formally trained at Windows on the World, the Guild of Sommeliers, and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in London, enabling him to provide public and private wine tastings that are designed to be both entertaining and educational.

Registration required.  Limited to 24 participants.
