Curious about how state legislative sausage is made? Eager to learn how you can provide input?

Wilton Library and Wilton League of Women Voters, in partnership with the civics program of Wilton High School, are pleased to co-sponsor an evening with both of Wilton’s state legislators to demystify the state legislative process. Senator Ceci Maher (26th District) and Representative Savet Constantine (42nd District) will provide an overview of Connecticut's state legislative cycle – including how the (two-year) budget and appropriations cycle is negotiated and implemented, and also how individual bills are proposed, developed within the committee structure, and brought to a vote. They will also discuss where and how Wilton residents can track bills and provide testimony and input along the way.

Please join us on Monday, February 2 at 7pm in the Brubeck Room at the Library. The program is free and open to the public, but as seating is limited please register online or call 203-762-6334.
