Event Details

Wilton Library, in partnership with RVNAhealth, an independent nonprofit healthcare agency that has served Western Connecticut since 1914, invites those living with memory challenges and their care partners to a welcoming, relaxed and supportive monthly gathering inspired by the original Alzheimer's Café in Holland. This Memory Café offers an informal and comfortable space to socialize, connect with others who share your journey, and enjoy meaningful moments together.

Each month will feature conversation, community and uplifting activities, including music, storytelling, therapy pet visits, crafts, sweet treats, refreshments and more. Get ready for smiles, laughter and lots of fun! We can't wait to welcome you to our Memory Café!

On Tuesday, March 17, we are excited to present Ira Joe Fisher, current Poet Laureate of Ridgefield, who will share a selection of poems and stories, some thoughtful, some lighthearted, followed by time for conversation and questions. His engaging and interactive style will make for a warm and enjoyable afternoon.

RVNAhealth dementia specialists and library staff will be available to offer support and ensure that everyone feels welcome and at ease. To be admitted to the program, each Memory Café participant must be accompanied by their care partner for the entire hour.

Ira Joe Fisher is a two-time Emmy Award winning broadcaster, poet, and author known for his years on television and his engaging public readings across the country. His work blends humor, insight, and storytelling drawn from everyday life. Learn more about Ira Joe at: https://www.irajoefisher.com/
