What draws us to David Ferry’s poems? The flow of his words and how he creates the right images to stir our feelings, our caring for a soldier at war, a homeless man, a stranger skating alone at night, a dying woman-- these subjects and others are what leave us in awe of Ferry’s deep understanding of human nature. His words explore and pursue the human psyche. We connect with him and the people in his poems.

Janet Krauss, who has two books of poetry published, “Borrowed Scenery,” Yuganta Press, and “Through the Trees of Autumn,” Spartina Press, has recently retired from teaching English at Fairfield University.
